Spring = Mud

At least it does in Cameron County, PA.

Sure the crocus (I prefer croci - which is also an option) are starting to peek up from the snow. We have occasional sunny days. The trees are budding. Birds are singing.

But then there’s the mud. Everywhere.

When we first moved back to Emporium, Horacio didn’t understand why we needed a mudroom. Three muddy springs later, he has complete clarity.

In celebration of the dirty mess that rings in Cameron County spring, we’re going to talk dirty. Or muddy. But muddy doesn’t sound as pithy as dirty.

And I’m all about the pith.

But first this announcement . . .

Because not everything can be scheduled on Sundays and Mondays.

I’m talking to you, Audi State College.

Mix Tape Must-Have

An epic song with an epic bassist, Les Claypool.

Who - incidentally - played the theme song for Seinfeld.

Yah. THAT guy.

Fun Fact

I’m 99.99% sure this is the reason I have such amazing childhood memories of making mud pies up Clear Creek.

It’s also likely the reason that I’ve never bothered with fancy fingernails.

Palette

It took a few tries, but I finally found a palette that went beyond shades of brown.

Fab Find: Dirt Buster

I generally don’t gush over cleaning supplies. Or anything that could be labeled as a supply. Of any kind.

(Except office supplies)

But this mop is amazing. Actually it’s the bucket and its wringing mechanism that are amazing. The mop is just along for the ride.

O-Cedar Easywring Mop

I bought mine at Walmart, but it’s available for the same price at Amazon. At least it was the same price when I wrote this blog post.

I love this bucket/mop combo so much that I made a dorky, shaky, cringey video of it.

Enjoy!
