Featured Product

This vintage hat is sublime.

I feel like it should be worn with a classy plaid cape by a striking woman with gloriously unruly auburn hair.

But that’s just me.

Word

Good word, right??

A jeremiad is so named after the biblical Jeremiah who was - indeed - famous for his lamentations.

Modern use of jeremiad doesn’t necessarily have a religious context. According to everyone’s favorite source of information - wikipedia - jeremiad describes any work where the author bitterly laments the state of society and its morals in a serious tone of sustained invective, and always contains a prophecy of society's imminent downfall.

NOTE: Despite the obvious etymological connection to my favorite Jeremiah (my brother!), jeremiad does not reflect his personality.

Something to Celebrate!

Yep - it’s a thing! Read about it HERE.

Palette

This might just be the most beautiful (possibly / probably fake) flower arrangement I’ve ever seen!

Corny Joke

Not only is this a corny joke, it’s also a true statement.

Albeit a common mistake.

Random Recommendation

I’ve recommended useful products.

I’ve recommended books, music, authors, websites, movies . . .

But I’ve never recommended food. Until now.

I am obsessed with noosa strawberry rhubarb yoghurt. It’s decadent, It’s a dessert.

It’s also full fat, which prolly contributes to its dessert-ishness. One 8 oz. container has 260 calories and 11 grams of protein. And - in my opinion - it’s TOTALLY worth every calorie!

And if you’re skeptical of the rhubarb, I promise that it’s not super sour or stringy.
