This whimsical garden girl figurine is a great reminder that spring is coming . . . eventually! Gladys the Garden Girl (YES, I named her. And YES, I relied heavily on alliteration for her name selection.) is just about as cute a vintage garden girl figurine as you can find.

Her twinkly blue eyes (complete with catchlights); the jaunty red ribbon in her hair (and matching red shoes); and the dimensional flowers with gold-tipped leaves on the arbor all contribute to Gladys’s status as a the perfect vintage little girl figurine. The kind I coveted as a child. And kinda maybe still covet now.

Do you know the difference between a figurine, a statue, and a statuette? Read the following blurb from Quora to learn more:

The terms "figurine," "statue," and "statuette" all refer to three-dimensional representations of people, animals, or objects, but there are some differences in their usage. A figurine is typically a small, decorative statuette that often depicts a human or animal figure and is often used for ornamentation or display. A statue, on the other hand, typically refers to a larger, freestanding sculpture of a person, animal, or object, often placed in a public space or as part of a monument. A statuette is generally smaller than a statue but larger than a figurine and is often used for decorative or artistic purposes. It's worth noting that these terms can sometimes be used interchangeably depending on the context.
